When we find ourselves in the center of a negative situation or crisis, we tend to make more out of the small stuff than is necessary. Here are some quick ideas to help you relax and eliminate stress.
- Cleanse your home or apartment with burning sage and holy water.
- Don't forget your spiritual bath or shower.
- Do your spiritual devotions daily.
- Burn a black candle to turn back negativity, then burn a white, blue, or purple candle to produce spiritual harmony.
- Boil basil in a small pot on the stove.
- Sprinkle the corners of your basement and attic with a mixture of crushed angelica, rosemary, and basil (all herbs that you can get from the grocery store).
- Set aside at least five minutes each day to meditate. Visualize peace, prosperity, and joy entering your home. I use a calm scene, such as a pristine white beach and gentle, lapping waves. All these things seem pretty easy, don't they? They may not even seem worth your time because they are so simple, but don't let the lack of embellishment fool you.
